JESS RIBEIRO announces supports for upcoming Album Preview / SXSW Fundraiser Shows
Jess Ribeiro has announced supports for her upcoming spree of Victorian Album Preview / SXSW Fundraiser shows.
Joining her at The Tote will be a vibrant solo set from Jaala and the illustrious Dianas, power-babes Bitch Diesel at the Bridge Hotel, Castlemaine, and proto-punk outfit The Faculty at the Grace Darling Hotel.
These shows will debut Jess' new band - Marc Regueiro-McKelvie (guitar), Tommy Taranto (bass),Maria Moles (drums) and Tiffany Alwis (synth + BV) and a sneak preview of Jess's forthcoming third album in its entirety!
Thank you to everyone who pledged to the Pozible campaign - with your help Jess successfully hit her target! We'll be organising your rewards shortly and will be in touch. These shows are also final fundraisers to help the band with the great costs associated with getting over to America to showcase at SXSW. If you didn't get a chance to pledge to the campaign, these shows will be a great opportunity to show your support.

Jess Ribeiro’s songs are cinematic in scope: it’s music that travels, across deserts like a Western, through city streets like Film Noir. Narrative and poetic, Ribeiro’s lyrics are rhythmic and evocative, conjuring images that are dimly-lit, but nonetheless electric.
Jess’s debut album Kill It Yourself (August 2015, Barely Dressed/Remote Control) was produced byMick Harvey, a founding member of The Birthday Party and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, whose production for PJ Harvey drew Ribeiro’s attention and admiration.
